Course Update: The Full 3-Day Course with Hands-On Simulation is FULL
Course Co-Directors: Gregory J. Schears, M.D., Pramod K. Guru, M.B.B.S., Troy G. Seelhammer, M.D. and Suraj M. Yalamuri, M.D.
December 5 - 7, 2019 - Ponte Vedra Inn and Club - Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida
Extracorporeal life support (ECLS) is increasingly being used for refractory cardiopulmonary failure and its use in the adult population is gaining attention in clinical practice. The paucity of randomized clinical trials and guidelines has led to significant practice variation when trying to address the challenge of minimizing risk and maximizing benefit. This course provides the necessary framework for management of a patient requiring ECLS through the use of practical case-based scenarios, high-fidelity hands-on simulations, and discussion of current hot topics.
New This Year!
- Digital pre-course materials (video and text based) to improve comprehensive coverage of key topics and maximize day of course educational opportunities
- Optional innovative third day covering ECPR cannulation utilizing a novel state-of-the-art 3D printed model with beating heart, ultrasound capable vasculature, and multi-density tissue plane
- Breakfast with the Experts offers informal discussions over a continental breakfast on a wide range of topics
- Networking opportunities with skills stations to provide hands-on opportunities to practice individual skills
- 26.4 ABCP CEUS and 19.0 ABIM/ABA MOC credits
