The Mayo Clinic Physician Assistant Board Review course is a comprehensive review designed to help with initial (PANCE) and recertification (PANRE) examinations and to provide a relevant review for daily practice. Target Audience

This course is designed for physician assistants preparing to take the initial PANCE or the PANRE. This course also provides a comprehensive review of general medicine applicable to physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe common and uncommon symptoms of both common and uncommon medical problems
  • Review key findings of medical imaging results for general medical issues
  • Recall the clinical presentations, workup, and diagnostics for medical conditions encountered by PAs and NPs

  • Recognize current evidence-based medicine principles and their application to clinical practice
  • Identify content areas of personal strength and weakness to help focus additional self-study

Rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests at the Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area.  In order to receive the special rates, reservations must be made before July 3, 2022, or before the room block fills.  Please identify yourself as a participant of the Physician Assistant Board Review course when making your reservation. Reservations made after July 3 may be subject to current market rates.

Travel

Rochester, Minnesota, is a friendly city that greets thousands of visitors from around the world each year. The city is serviced by a modern international airport with multiple flights and connections daily. Access to and from the airport is provided by taxi, shuttle service, and rental car. The airport is located approximately 10 miles from the Mayo Clinic campus.

Note to Travelers: Several cities in the United States are named Rochester. When you make airline reservations and check your baggage, be sure that your destination is Rochester, Minnesota (RST) and that your baggage has been properly tagged.

Flying through the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is another option. There are two shuttle services that provide direct service to Mayo Clinic and the surrounding area. Travel time is approximately 75 minutes.
