The Mayo Clinic Multidisciplinary Update in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine 2024 CME course provides a state-of-the-art update on clinical advances in pulmonary and critical care medicine. A multidisciplinary faculty from Mayo Clinic imparts a comprehensive approach to the current evaluation and management of various respiratory diseases. Topics include: airway disease, critical care, interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer and sleep disorders.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the various clinical presentation of patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary arterial disease.
  • Summarize the treatment options of patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary arterial disease.
  • Review the approach to managing mixed or multifactorial shock in the ICU.
  • Describe the current management of non-mycobacterial bronchiectasis.
  • Describe the updated GOLD guidelines for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD.
  • Recognize the advances in lung transplant.
  • Summarize the evaluation and treatment of patients with interstitial lung disease, ILD in the ICU.
  • Assess the treatment and evaluation of patients with non-tuberculous bronchiectasis.
  • Review updated guidelines for managing pulmonary hypertension.

Reservations cancelled within forty-eight (48) hours prior to arrival date will be assessed a one-night room and tax fee charge. To avoid an early departure fee guests must notify hotel at or before check-in of any change in the scheduled length of stay.
