Gain knowledge on the latest recommendations involving medical specialties important to the urgent care setting that can be immediately applied into practice. Mayo Clinic’s Urgent Care Updates course is designed for the acute/urgent care provider and uses relevant lectures along with panel and roundtable discussions to provide opportunities to interact with faculty.

 

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses in primary care, emergency medicine, and urgent care.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Formulate treatment options for the management of pneumonia and acute asthma
  • Describe different management techniques of pediatric fractures
  • Identify different types of common rashes
  • Distinguish between the different causes of stridor
  • Identify common EKG abnormalities
  • Review the evaluation and management of pediatric urinary tract infections
  • Describe treatment options for bedside wound care procedures commonly seen in urgent care settings
